Why We Are Different

We aren’t a one-size-fits all wealth management shop. Our background trained us to primarily work with and serve UHNW families. When we built Bright River Private Wealth, we knew we needed to continue keeping our focus exclusively on clients who fit our service model.  We only add clients who will enhance our practice and give us the opportunity to gain a deeper bench of experience that will benefit our other clients. Our services are designed for individuals and their families who have complex financial puzzles and need customized solutions.

We primarily work with families, business owners, entrepreneurs and philanthropists who have complex needs that require a significant level of stewardship.  Our expertise is dedicated to serving the distinct financial goals of affluent clients and their families through our high-touch, discreet, and personalized service model. We want to add UHNW clients who face similar challenges to our existing clients and will help us sharpen our strategic thinking.

Step 1: Introductory Meeting

Let’s first talk about what you are looking for.  Before we ask you to invest your time with us, we want to make sure we can be the right fit. We’ll learn about your goals, aspirations and where you see yourself in the future. Then we’ll review your current financial picture to make sure we understand you.

Step 2: Planning Meeting

Based on what we learned from our first meeting, we will build your financial picture showing how we understand your picture. Correct us where needed and we’ll talk through a few different strategies to see what planning scenarios we should consider.

Step 3: Proposal Meeting

We will show you the findings of our financial plan, some strategies we may consider, and then how we translate your plan from theory into practice. We will create our liquidity strategy for the next 2-3 years, what you’ll need for your lifetime, and what legacy you want to leave beyond your lifetime.

Meet The Team

As a client:

Once you become a client, our outreach doesn’t stop. The first year, we still want to reach out to you 12 times per year and hopefully meet with you twice. We want to be thoroughly transparent about what your investments are doing, what your tax situation is, how we’re meeting up to your plan, and making sure you are getting the most out of our services.

The next year, guess what? We still want to talk with you at least 12 times a year. You can tell us if its too much and we’ll reduce it, but we have every client on a regimented contact schedule. We want to know how you are doing as life is changing, not afterwards. You can still call us as needed, but our process works much better for both of us if we can be proactive instead of reactive.

We want to stay connected with you. We build our contact schedule for each client at the start of each calendar year.

Our team has 10 higher ed degrees, 5 certifications, along with a comprehensive bench of experts and industry pioneers from our partners at Kestra, NFS, as well as other other investment professionals who we can lean on for more niche offerings.
